Delta T Installations Ltd recently completed a fast-paced 10-day commercial air conditioning project in the heart of Edinburgh.
Working within a busy high street retail environment, our team carried out a full system upgrade, replacing an outdated water-chilled system with a modern, energy-efficient solution designed to improve performance, reliability, and year-round comfort.

Scope of Works
This project involved a complete system transformation, including:
- Full strip-out and removal of an existing water-chilled system
- Installation of two Daikin VRV heat pump systems
- Integration of six concealed ducted indoor units
- Careful planning and coordination within a live retail space
Due to the nature of the environment, all work was carried out during night shifts, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations and maintaining a safe, clean work environment.
The Solution
The newly installed Daikin VRV heat pump system provides both efficient cooling and heating, offering a flexible and cost-effective solution for retail environments.
Concealed ducted units were selected to:
- Maintain a clean and uncluttered store appearance
- Deliver even air distribution throughout the space
- Operate quietly within a customer-facing environment
